New Dates for jazzLab Series tour aRTET

aRTET emerged at the dawn of the year 2005. The gathering of four musicians at conservatory creating original compositions for a final exam, it is the birth of a new collaboration between individuals having already had the opportunity to work together within the framework of past musical projects.
Above all, personal and musical affinities are the roots of their convergence. They brought life to the project, each one contributing his sensitivities and his musicality to the compositions enriched by this alchemy, producing an original and distinctive result which joins their diverse temperaments.
The result is more than a simple combination of four individualities... At the close of its first year of existence and after a few concerts, aRTET won the Young Jazz Talent competition in Ghent in July 2006, earning the privilege of playing the opening concert of the Blue Note Festival as well as the closing concert of the competition the following year, along with a tour the following year organised by the JazzLab Series.

Primarily composed by its guitarist, aRTET's music is decisively jazz, with diverse accents and influences, as can happen with musicians from generations who bathed in rock and pop, yet chose jazz as a style and favoured means of expression and as such, the path of improvisation to create opportunities at each concert to reinvent their music.
